Building Wayfair’s greenfield Omni Supply Chain Platform will be the site’s primary goal in the beginning, allowing us to scale our creative, sizable parcel network that serves our sizable market. Although this is a huge mission in and of itself, you will work as a Senior Staff Engineer with high standards of excellence, a strong understanding of sound software design concepts, and the ability to set an example through focused production of high-quality code and software designs.

 What You’ll Do Is:
  •  Serving as the critical domain’s local technical lead, you will design and build a platform that communicates with numerous systems both inside and outside of Wayfair and with international partners.
  •  Assist in formulating and implementing a multi-year technology strategy for Wayfair’s supply chain.
  •  Build high-quality, scalable, future-proof services with effective system boundaries that will support long-term goals.
  •  Engage in technical discussion across the board and contribute to reaching enduring, cited conclusions.
  •  Drive effective architectural solutions and hands-on development, including conception, design, execution, and delivery while adhering to best practices in both design and coding.
  •  Focus on testing, monitoring, deployment, documentation, and pro-active troubleshooting as part of the team’s obsessive effort to get everything ready for production.
  •  The technical vision of the department should be met by identifying risks and gaps in technical approaches and proposing solutions.
